Bin Laden started his war against America years ago
and we finally saw it on 9-11-01. It was not a tragedy - it was mass murder.
Bin Laden attacked America several times and Bill Clinton did not lead.Bin Laden now wants us all to convert to Islam and for America to end our democracy.
Iraq like Vietnam? ... badmouthing kills.
Unfortunately the Democrats, in their zeal to defeat Bush in the coming election, have been spewing vitriol for months...since before the Democratic primaries. This gave encouragement to demonstrators and poisoned the view of the US in the eyes of the world. I believe this to be the seed and root cause of the resistance and the fighting we still face in Iraq today.
The attacks on Bush heated up with Dean, then Kennedy and others calling Bush a liar. It was then picked up by all the candidates. Outrageous attacks continue on the campaign trail, even in the Halls of Congress. Irresponsible accusations continue, even as our troops engage the enemy in these, the most dangerous costliest days of the war.
It amazes me that there is such a disconnect between the way our troops support the US, the Administration, and Democracy (even as they give their lives); and the way the naysayers, safe at home, continue to undermine our men and the war effort with rhetoric against the US.
Is this a replay of the days of Jane Fonda, John Kerry and other turncoats, who railed against the US and the war effort during the Vietnam War? I say, it is! Divisiveness at home is not lost to the Insurgents and terrorists abroad. They are only emboldened in hope that they can win with help from a divided Electorate at home. The cost? More innocent lives lost, Iraqis as well as our own dedicated military.
No help from the popular media either...a bad day for the troops in the war is a good day for Democrats and opponents of the war. Blood shed by our military is on the hands of political opportunists, and must be recognized for what it is. It was not that way during World War II.
BUMPER STICKER: Challenges met. Challenges yet... George Bush!
