ISRAEL FEARS SADDAM HID BIO ARMS IN SYRIA - By URI DAN

April 1, 2003 -- JERUSALEM - Israeli military intelligence suspects Saddam Hussein has hidden chemical and biological weapons in neighboring Syria, a top officer said yesterday. Brig. Gen. Yossi Kupperwasser told the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that Iraq may also have moved long-range surface-to-surface missiles to Syria.

Kupperwasser, the No. 2 official in Israeli military intelligence, said that in the first 10 days of the war, U.S.-led forces reached most of the suspected sites in western Iraq but failed to find the caches of Scud missiles and weapons of mass destruction. He said the banned weapons may have been moved to Syria well before the war to avoid detection by U.N. inspectors.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said in December that he had seen unconfirmed intelligence reports that Saddam used Syria as a hiding place for the arms. Sources told The Post that Israeli officials believe Iraq's nonconventional weapons were hidden by Saddam's 20,000- member Special Republican Guard and remain under their control.

U.S., British and Australian special operations forces raced into western Iraq in the first days of the war to prevent a repeat of the 1991 Persian Gulf War when Scud missiles were launched at Israel from the area.

Kupperwasser said the likelihood of an Iraqi missile attack on Israel is low, but that could change once Saddam's regime nears the end of its days or if a senior Iraqi official is killed. In the Knesset debate yesterday, the leader of Israeli's leftist Meretz Party predicted the U.S. forces will suffer a "catastrophe."

"What will happen to them in Iraq is the same as what happened to them in Vietnam, Somalia and Lebanon," Yossi Sarid said. Also yesterday, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak predicted the war "will give birth to 100 [Osama] bin Ladens."

Start to put troops on the border with Syria - Thurs Apr 17 2003

Hello,
It is time now to start building up troops and division equipment on the border with Syria. Syria should be next evil state in the middle east that even today said its ok for terrorist groups headquartered in their country. If the evil that lives in the middle east isn't crushed then what happened in Europe before and during World War 2 is about to repeat itself.

The break up of non free Arab nations is the only way to head off this kind of evil that if not checked will result in millions of good people to die in the future. Even the Pope sees very black clouds on the horizon and I believe that it is the Muslim hate of non Arabs that will stab us in the back. Listen to what these Arab nations are saying so soon after the fall of Iraq; that it's the U.S. to blame for their troubles. Mark my words, that if we just come home now and don't finish the job in the middle east, we'll find out the price will be much higher for all nations.
