Mission Accomplished - RushOnline.com

As we mark the anniversary of ending major combat operations in Iraq. Doesn't anyone see that the banner on the USS Abraham Lincoln "Mission Accomplished" is a tribute to the valiant sailors an airman aboard that carrier whose mission was accomplished?

I certainly don't see the banner as a statement that the war is over.

I am so sick and tired of hearing the press go high and to the right about this banner on the Lincoln. That banner was to signify that the LINCOLN'S MISSION WAS ACCOMPLISHED~~ They had been out on deployment for 10 long months and they were finally coming home. I know many of the men and women that were serving on the ship and they were truly honored by the President's visit! It was there mission... not the entire war... that was accomplished!
