Ashcroft Hearings
All the Democrats need is to darn Hooded Brown Robes accented by
jeweled crucifix and you couldn't tell that the Inquisition was a
thing of the past. Maybe Ashcroft in comparing life to a series of
Crucifixtions and Resurections wasn't to far off the track.

Child on Trial In Florida
You stated on yesterday's show that all a child has to do is cry
and all will be forgiven. You make the the same mistake the jury is
making right now. If someone asks forgiveness - they should be forgiven.
However, that does not relieve them of accountability and consequences.
I expect my child to tell me he is sorry for something he did (I expect
him to mean it) - however he still must be punished accordingly. The
jury is concerned that if you forgive then you cannot punish.- Wrong.

International Criminal Court - A Correction -
I caught just part of your broadcast today (Weds. 5/8/02) on WBAL
AM-630.
If I corrrectly understood what you were implying in your statements
praising President Bush's recent action "de-signing" the
Rome Treaty establishing an International Criminal Court, his action
served to place the U.S. outside of the Court's jurisdiction.
According to what I have been reading in the pages of the authoritativeWashington
Times, under this treaty U.S. citizens can be brought before the Court
for alleged "war crimes" committed on the soil of any of
the countries which have ratified the treaty. That is, the Court claims
jurisdiction over "war criminals" even though their country
may have expressly rejected the treaty.
The ICC will be therefore be free to go after U.S. servicemen and
government officials for acts committed on the soil of countries party
to the treaty. For those of us old enough to remember the infamous
anti-American "tribunals" set up during the Vietnam war,
this is a chilling development. That is why it is so vitally important
for the Congress to pass, and the President to sign, pending legislation
known as the "U.S. Service Member Protection Act," which
would provide a number of means by which we could protect Americans
unjustly prosecuted by this court.
Sincerely,
T. J. Morgan

Child Support Value goes to ZERO
Imagine two kids with different mothers. One mom is married to a
millionaire, the other mom a (then) laid off flight attendant. The
first child gets 4 times that of the other by law. When asked to keep
the total payments the same but equalize them better, comments from
both the Judge and Friend of the Court, are in effect, "you should
have thought about that before you had another child". And, "since
the second child's child support does not go through the Friend of
the Court, we cannot consider its value.

Dear Mr. "Hard-of-Thinking" Daschel:
I usually don't have much to say politically, using my vote to voice
my opinion. However, after the 9th Circuit Court's ruling regarding
the Pledge, I have just had enough! You and your ilk remind me of
a person who has urinated on himself and then blames the everyone
else for his intolerable smell! Get-a-clue! If you, or anyone you
know, doesn't like the Pledge, the Flag, or The Constitution of the
United States of America, which, by the way has kept your silly Democratic
Arse in gravy for too many years; and for which, many members of my
family have given their lives to defend since 1776, too bad! You,
Mr. Daschel, and the Demo-rats have made a mockery of the judicial
system of this country. I suggest you get a job and stop living off
the ignorance of your constituents.
Sincerely,
C.

The Death Penalty is horrific. I agree Safeguards must exist. Undoubtedly
BUT...
Excepting the OJ jury, any doubt is not reasonable doubt. And I have
no doubt that liberal judges, realizing they have not a prayer of
making it to the 'big show' in the Supreme Court, have decided to
do whatever they can to embarrass and harrass this administration...
Their selfish, misguided thinking: who cares about the dangers we
face from without, if their party isn't in control?
I sawy we cede all of California, a handful of Florida counties,
and the Kennedy estate to the Democratic party to do with as they
will. Okay...we can throw in Bill & Hillary's place, too. They
can change the Constitution and choose how to rehabilitate the most
vile predators among us in place of the 'bad old death penalty.'
The rest of us can go on about our lives, doing what is accepted
in a civil society, which includes meting out punishment that is fair
and equal to the crime when members break the laws that are in place
to protect each and every one of us...
Imagine... in LA County, the LAPD and CHP will not be able to ticket
you, as they will not be able to completely exclude the possibility
their equipment was flawed, erroneously elevating the speed you were
traveling. Winona will be released because she might have paid for
those items, someday. And Charles Manson will be released after years
of persecution merely for trying to find a better home for his family.
This is why judges should be subject to recall by the commander in
chief when seated on a federal bench.
Regards, Kyle

14 th Amendment / Date: Fri, Jan 17
I'm a longtime listener, ditto to all who are grateful for what you
have done and continue to do. I agree with what you have said about
the evils of race-based preferences. But the 14th Amendment says nothing
about race. The 15th does, but only in regard to voting. My concern
has to do with activist judges overstepping their legitimate authority.
The Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and its primary purpose
is to limit the power of the government. Laws must be understood by
what the legislators intended. The Court has been issuing rulings
on all sorts of things by expanding the intent of the law. This aggrandizement
of power needs to be resisted. I think the President is making an
unwise move which works against his goal of appointing conservative
judges.
