We Need A Chinese Investigation!
We need an investigation on what did the Clinton's have to do with
the Chinese getting national nuclear secrets? And we need it RIGHT
NOW! It seems to me that the Clinton's have had a lot of relations
with the Chinese in the last six to eight years! There was that
thing about selling the Lincoln bedroom and something about illegal
campaign funding by the Chinese. Then what about the witnesses that
needed to be called that left the country or claimed diplomatic
immunity? Now we hear that the Clinton's may have had something
to do with delaying the report or delaying instituting security
measures. Let's forget all about William Jefferson Clinton's women
problems and focus on the other scandals since he's been in the
White House.
I say let's have a congressional investigation of this whole Chinese
thing, and if either Bill Clinton or Hillary or any member of the
Clinton Administration had anything to do with either the Chinese
getting National Nuclear Secrets, or involving impeding or delaying
an investigation or proper procedures, then the entire Clinton Administration
should be put out off office. How many more scandals are we willing
to take before you people in Washington grow up and finally shoulder
your responsibilities and quit your whining and bitching?
WAKE UP AMERICA, IT'S ALREADY TOO LATE!

TRAITORS IN THE WHITE HOUSE?
Let's see if I get this Chinese Thing in perspective? During either
the Regan or Bush Administration Chinese Communists had a spy in
the Los Alamos nuclear-research program sometime in the 80's? Then
in 1995, this was discovered by the Department of Energy, who told
the FBI and then the CIA, and nothing was done about this spy? Then
in 1995, William Jefferson Clinton, our President who swore to defend
our country from all enemies, foreign and domestic, and his administration
did nothing?
Then William Jefferson Clinton and his Administration took steps
to accept over $100,000.00 in illegal campaign funds from the Chinese
Communists. From the person who was the daughter of the Chinese
highest-ranking commander in charge of obtaining Western military
technology to upgrade China's army and nuclear missile force? Do
I understand that then William Jefferson Clinton and his administration
then obstructed an investigation by ordering the DOE person in charge
of the investigation to do nothing for over 30 months, and to specifically
not say anything to anyone in Congress? Then William Jefferson Clinton
and his Administration lied to Congress and knowing all of this
information, let Congress pass bogus legislation to bestow "Most
Favored Trade Nation" status on this same China that was stealing
our Nuclear Secrets and bribing our President, Vice President and
Administration? Is this right?
Then because of this new status of China, William Jefferson Clinton
and his administration setup, allowed and permitted a national Aerospace
corporation that by the way, had donated over $600,000.00 to Clinton's
reelection campaign, sold national secrets and technology involving
missiles and miniature missile guidance and control technology to
these same Chinese. And William Jefferson Clinton and his Administration
still did nothing? That in reality, William Jefferson Clinton and
his Administration did nothing and acted for over 30 months to hush
this story, and waited for 17 months until October 1998 to institute
new security issues? Yet the suspected spy still worked at the Nuclear
Facility until just two days ago, and only was fired because of
a newspaper article four days ago?
Am I hearing the truth, and our President, Vice President and their
entire Administration are liars, and now traitors? Hollywood, in
it's wildest moments, couldn't come up with a story this bizarre.
The real answer is of course this happened, and this criminal in
the White House, and his Administration is capable of anything,
to deny the truth of the many crimes of William Jefferson Clinton.
We need an immediate Congressional Investigation of William Jefferson
Clinton, Al Gore, the entire Administration, and anyone involved.
And if there is any truth to these allegations, then William Jefferson
Clinton should be impeached (again), he should be removed from office,
forfeit all pay and retirement pay, and never hold an office again.
Then Clinton, Gore, and the entire administration involved should
be indicted, convicted, and thrown in prison as spies, and traitors.
CAN YOU SAY TREASON?
WAKE UP AMERICA, IT'S ALREADY TOO LATE!

On Taiwan's Behalf
The threat of China has also been there. Once Russia had been defeated,
we thought the cold war was over. If they would have looked to the
far east, there lurks the real monster. Thanks to Clinton, it is
inevitable.
If China is willing to wage war, so be it. We could never win a
ground or conventional war with China. This being the fact and other
countries unwilling to commit needed resources, nuclear weapons
may be used. But if we are to use them, it must be a first strike
and decisive strike at that. Clinton has already demoralized the
military and weakened it to a point of non-effectiveness.
It has become a world economy, and allowing China to take the percentage
of goods and services that come from Taiwan would allow it dictate
world policy. This is unacceptable. I used to be in the military
and would consider leaving my job, reentering the military to save
freedom and a free world.

Communist China?
Below is a copy of Matt Drudge's report from Yesterday. It is a
shining example of why we should not forget Communist China, ChinaGate,
SpyGate, and all the other scandals associated with the Clinton
Administration. If we keep listening to all the propaganda coming
out of the White House, and Washington DC, we will forget Communist
China. Let us not forget that China is a Communist country, and
is an enemy of our way of life, no matter what else the Clinton
Administration is trying to convince us of. We should say that again
in case you weren't listening, "Communist China Is Our Enemy"!

CHINA'S MILITARY CHIEF DIRECTED MONEY FROM BEIJING TO CLINTON CAMPAIGN,
SAYS CHUNG
Former Democratic fund-raiser Johnny Chung has told federal investigators
that the chief of China's military intelligence secretly directed
funds from Beijing to help re-elect President Clinton in 1996, the
LOS ANGELES TIMES is reporting in Sunday editions.
The exclusive report by TIMES reporters William Rempel, Henry Weinstein
and Alan Miller hit Washington in the overnight hours.
Sources familiar with Chung's sealed statements to federal prosecutors
tell the TIMES: "Chung says he met three times with the intelligence
official, Gen. Ji Shengde, who ordered $300,000 deposited into the
Torrance, Calif., businessman's bank account to subsidize campaign
donations intended for Clinton."
Last spring federal agents moved Chung and his family into protective
custody, law enforcement sources told the paper. Developing... ]
If we follow the policy of the Clinton Administration of "Don't
look back at yesterday or what happened today", they're gone,
let's just look towards tomorrow. That's just what they want us
to do. Forget all the crimes, lies, rapes, illegal campaign money,
abuses, and God knows what else that Bill Clinton and his Administration
has done in the last six years, and just pay attention to the current
lies and tomorrow only.
I along with millions of other Americans say, Baloney! Congress,
the Justice Department, and everybody else that can, must investigate
Communist China's damage done to our Security Network, our Weapons
Programs, the White House, our Government and our Nation. More and
more bad news is coming out each day about Communist China's damage
to our nation. We must not let William Jefferson Clinton and his
corrupt Administration get away with this, like Congress let him
get away with all his previous crimes
(including Kosovo). Come on America, you can't be that stupid as
to not care about all of this?
WAKE UP AMERICA, BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!

China is not to be trusted. Bush got our people back. maybe not the
way some wanted but they are home. I did not vote for him but while
our military people were held by the Chinese I supported what he did,
his tax cut is a bad idea and he needs to rethink this for now we
need to build our military up, give Taiwan what they ask for deploy
two or more battle groups to protect our aircraft warn the Chinese
to stay away and if they don't shoot them down, if we don't they will
try to run us out of the far east.

As much as I hate to admit it, the Bush administration caved in
on this one. Think about it, if this happened during the Reagan
administration would Ronald Reagan have responded in a similar fashion,
No Way! The recent course of events proves that President Bush is
going to have to learn to play hardball when he engages in foreign

A man asked Shawn on Thursday what if the situation was reversed
and Clinton was in office during the recent incident with China?
Would conservatives be praising how Clinton brought back our crew,
and not say much about the plane we left behind? The caller insisted
that if everything was the same, the conservatives would be raging
over the fact that the plane was left behind. I have two things
I would like to comment about that:
1. Shawn did a wonderful job making this caller look like a fool.
2. Conservatives might have said one or two things about it. Sometimes
that's politics. However, as a student of foreign policy since I
was 15, I can honestly say one thing about the two Presidents. I
wasn't worried at all these past 11 days. Bush conducted himself
like a veteran statesman, and Clinton (with his national security
team) would have made me sweat like bullets.
So to the caller from Louisiana....sure maybe conservatives would
have grumbled that we left the plane behind. The fact still remains
that Bush is 1 for 1 in Foreign Policy while Clinton remains 1 for
10. (I will give him credit for the rescue of Scott O'Grady)
Thanks,

Another Form of an Apology
APOLOGY TO THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINA
It is with deep regret, hesitation, and contrition that I, The
President of the United States of America, offer apology to the
Chinese nation and its peoples. I apologize for the heinous act
performed by our large, sluggish, propeller driven, airplane when
it got in the way of your highly maneuverable, supersonic, technologically
superior, jet aircraft.
Furthermore, I sincerely regret the fact that by flying in international
airspace, we afforded your
highly competent pilot the opportunity to fly his aircraft into
our own, causing him to spiral to his
death into the ocean. We regret the choice made by said pilot when
he used deficient judgment in electing to attempt aerial intimidation
upon our slower moving, unarmed, surveillance vehicle.
Let me summarize by stating that it is our sincere hope that you
accept this heart felt and sincere
apology for the actions committed by your pilot. We are sorry that
we got in the way. We are sorry that we were forced to leave international
airspace and land in Chinese territory. We are sorry that you were
forced to provide food and housing for our military personnel. Most
of all, we are sorry that you have, in your possession, some of
our most technologically advanced surveillance equipment on the
planet. I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive us.
I hope that soon you will be compelled to release our men and our
property. Because I really don't want to have to apologize again
when we have to kick your ass.
Sincerely,
George W. Bush
President of the United States

Dear China,
We're sorry that you don't train your fighter pilots better. As
a token of our apology, here's a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator
2000. We're sorry that you're front-line fighter planes can't outmaneuver
a 35 year old prop-driven airliner. Perhaps you'd like to consider
purchasing some surplus 1950's era Lockheed Starfighters from Taiwan.
(Who just replaced all theirs with shiny new F-16's)
We're sorry that you believe your territorial waters extend all
the way to Australia. For future reference, here's an American 6th
grade geography textbook. (Please take note of the Copyright information
printed inside the cover.)
We're sorry that you can't seem to see your part of this incident.
We know that it may seem easier to blame others than to take responsibility.
Consider this while we build several new Aegis destroyers for our
friends in the Republic of China (Taiwan).
We're especially sorry for treating you with such respect for the
last 20 years. We'll definitely rethink this policy, and will probably
go back to treating you like a common untrustworthy street gang
very soon.
We're very sorry for ever granting you Most-Favored-Nation trading
status. This will be rectified at the soonest possible opportunity.
Sincerely,
The United States of America

Shanghaied?
My concern with the 'expression of regret' Bush has given to the
Chicoms is the part about our plane being 'forced to land without
permission' and/or 'violating Chinese airspace'. If this is what
our government is saying, than I believe that is wrong. As I understand
it, after the first Chinese jet ran into our surveillance plane
( not a 'spy' plane, as our Communist press claims; we were always
in international airspace ), the second jet fired a warning shot
and forced our plane to land on Hainen island. If this is true,
then we did not "land without permission". What is the
truth here? The functional definition of to 'Shanghai' someone is
to render them defenseless, and then abduct them to serve you.
Is that not what happened here? In any case, we should accelerate
the funding of both our missile defenses AND a buildup of our Pacific
fleet.

I have voted Republican all my life and I am a supporter of President
Bush, but I disagree with the way this China episode has ended.
Ok, I concede to the fact that we are getting our people back but
they should have never "Held" them or the plane in the
first place (If the report
is accurate as we have all been informed).
There was absolutely, in my opinion, no reason to make any apologies
whatsoever. International law clearly supports the U.S. - Unless
the report we have received from the media is not true with regards
to the facts of the incident...In which case, it makes more sense
now that we have apologized.
Here's the thing though... Last week, you were condemning some
democratic "Leaders" for making apologies to the Chinese.
Now, we (Republicans) have gone and done it. Why is it different
now?
I listen daily and agree with you 99.9% of the time, but Rush I
don't support you on this subject at all.

Had the former occupant of the White House had this before him
the liberal media would be singing praises. I think Bush and his
administration did the right thing and I also feel that it is time
to go forward to another subject. Sing praises for our President,
he deserves praise. He did not "cave" but silently worked
out this negotiation. From a "non" Oprah female who supports
our President. Hope this is read. Linda in Dallas

I just wanted to say that from what I have followed and understood
I support President Bush in his decision. His letter was ambiguous
enough to suggest what China wanted to hear without ever claiming
blaim. The fact that Americans are so confused just shows what a
good job he did in talking around the apology. He got what he wanted
without having to actually apologize.
In the apology did Bush actually express regrets for being in China's
airspace or is he expressing regrets that China did not respond
and allow the plane to land when they sent out their mayday? I do
not feel that Bush caved in in anyway.
Hope --

Chinese pilot--Defection attempt?
Rush! Is it possible that the Chinese pilot flashed his e-mail
address because he was hoping that someone would contact him? If,
as I understand, he had a child, he may well have wanted another,
but it is against the law to have multiple children in China. Or,
perhaps he was hoping to get into the U.S. military in order to
fly more sophisticated aircraft.
REGRET!: I, too, regret this whole incident. I am sorry for the
deceased pilot's family. I am angry that our boys are being detained
by the enemy. I am angry that the bleepin' media places the blame
on the U.S.A. They fail to understand that if China gets the upper
hand, they may all eventually be deleted.
I agree with you. WE ARE THE GOOD GUYS. That may not stay that way,
if the the media has their way/say.

Kate

China Spy Plane
I am a Captain on a B-747 for Japan Air Lines who flies between
Tokyo and Bangkok every few days. My concern is the intercept by
the Chinese fighter at 70 miles from Hainan island places the collision
exactly on the center line of A-1 airway which is the primary air
route between Tokyo and Bangkok. If anyone should apologize it should
be the Chinese, the danger of intercepting an aircraft on an international
air route which is in Hong Kong airspace not Guangzhou airspace
is criminal. Everyday thousands of passengers fly this very route
not realizing the chicken game the Chinese are playing. We are lucky
that the fighter did not hit a passenger aircraft after the collision
or in an effort to avoid the P-3.
I have not been back in the USA since the accident but the Communist
News Network(CNN) has not reported that the collision took place
on the airway in front of four other airliners. This is as busy
of a route as the Washington-Boston shuttle so there is always aircraft
around the P-3 when they fly down here. We fellow pilots talk to
each other on the air to air frequency, especially between the military
drivers and us expats.
Thank you,
Randy

China Nonsense
Powell's "regrets" message only strengthened China's
hand. He'll probably come out with a carefully crafted "apology"
tonight. China will then tell us it's not enough, and so on.
Our local afternoon talk-show host (Jim Villanucci, kkob-am, Albuquerque)
is a big fan of yours; he's a fairly conservative guy. (Your brother
was on his show earlier this week. Lucky David! He got to talk to
Communist Chris from Abiquiu.)
However, Jim's been wringing his hands over this China nonsense.
He's scared because China threatened to blow up Los Angeles a couple
of years ago. He quotes our Congresswoman who says we have to play
for time until China finds it's way to democracy, blah, blah, blah.
Jim's also worried about our getting into another "Vietnam"
in Taiwan. "It isn't worth it! Who cares about Taiwan? Is Taiwan
worth the loss of Los Angeles?!"
It's disappointing. What was it that old Chinese general said?
"You don't have to defeat your enemy; you need only destroy
his will to fight." Something like that anyway. China has already
destroyed Jim's will to fight.
Jim's wrong. We need only sell Taiwan defensive systems; that's all.
They can do the rest.(If China were to make good on attacking the
American mainland, that would be WWIII anyway --- hardly "Vietnam".)
If we need to go to war with China, then sooner would be better than
later. (They probably haven't completed their Clinton weapons' upgrades
yet, which is probably why they haven't invaded Taiwan yet.)
Powell might do better to watch "Heartbreak Ridge" if
he needs some ideas. If our personnel are still on the island, then
maybe we should consider taking the island, and occupying it for
awhile. What can China do? We can maintain air and sea superiority
--- they couldn't get an army to the island. And at the same moment
of that invasion, we should occupy Longbeach, California.
China can burn in hell for all I care. You can bet, I'll start
looking for products that DON'T say, "Made in China."
Rick

I know I'm getting ahead of the China discussion, but how about
telling all countries, that in the future our P-3's will be escorted
(through international air space) by a couple of F-18's and if a
foreign nations Air Force flies within a certain distance of that
P-3 it will be interpreted as a threat, and dealt with as such.
I just get so damn angry when I see the video of a Chinese war plane
buzzing a United States (not war plane). We need to stop this right
now before every little piss-ant comes gunning for us.

I am a 14 year Navy man. I have been monitoring the events with
China with concern, mostly at America's reaction to them. I know
the press is skewed to the left so I only watch Fox news, listen
to your show when I can and I gather what I can at work. What concerns
me the most is the apparent lack of American outrage at the thought
of apologizing to China and the lack of support for harsher consequences(
or consequences at all) for China. Even Fox news has said harsher
penalties for China would not get the airmen home any sooner. That
shows that they don't get the main lesson here and therefore I have
to assume most of the public doesn't get it either. These airmen
are being held right now, because for the last eight years there
have been no consequences to China for misbehaving. Taking a harder
stance with China will not get the airmen home any sooner, but it
will make the Chinese and every other potential enemy think twice
before doing it again.
The only way to get the airmen home sooner is to totally bend to
Chinese demands and in doing so, going against the national interests
of the U.S., spitting on the sacrifice of millions of veterans and
throwing away the sacrifice of the 24 airmen in China. In the mid
eighties we used to go under the Arctic ice cap and come up on the
shores of the Soviet Union. We went places that if we were detected
we would surely have been killed and the nature of our demise would
have been denied by our own government. That was a known and acceptable
risk. We took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of
the United States. Our deaths fulfilling that oath was and still
is a worthy task. These twenty four airmen know this and if they
don't, the bad is on them ( the military is not an entitlement program).
We as Americans who are not in Chinese custody, owe the 24 crewmen
the respect of being resolute behind their sacrifice. We owe them,
to care about the long term more than the today. Harsher consequences
for China have consequences for the U.S.. Americans who have invested
in China suffer, but the stock market will rebound ultimately. Our
24 crewmen may come home sooner, later or not at all, but that is
a sacrifice millions of American veterans have already made. Meanwhile
myself and the rest of the U.S. military stand by to make the same
sacrifice at a moments notice. Hopefully the American powers that
be, don't wuss out in the face of a little financial adversity.
When good men do nothing, evil prevails.
Very respectfully,
Patrick

Dear Rush and Rush devotees,
Dittos galore! I have a proposal that each and every patriotic
American can embrace and act out on an individual level that when
added up, can have a devastating effect on the Chinese leadership.
If anyone out there is frustrated and provoked into thinking that
they are powerless to send China a clear and unmistakable message,
I simply say, "Boycott any and all Chinese made goods!"
The next time you visit a Kmart, WalMart, or any other retail store,
simply look for a product that is not "Made in China"
and preferably buy one "Made in the USA". This will hit
the Chinese where it hurts most - in their pocketbooks! Do I have
any backers on this??
If China cannot act as adults in the international arena, then
they should be treated as such by everyday Americans who are mad
as hell and are not going to take their guff anymore!

I think we should have bloodied their noses this time. I'm pissed
at our pilot for not putting it in the drink, and astonished that
he would actually land in China. The longer this goes on,
the worse we look; the longer it takes, the higher the price we'll
pay in tribute, and the more we'll be forced to grovel. This is
a pitiful performance by our new administration, reminiscent of
LBJ's inaction against North Korea; he's gone now; North Korea remains(a
bigger threat than ever).

Spy air craft. The Crew is what is most valuable
I was listening to Tony on WNIS in Norfolk today and a Navy officer
came and stated that he was a security officer. He stated he had
manned, supervised, and taught the crews on those planes. The equipment
is only top secret for 6 months after it comes out. The Chinese
already had the equipment.
What they did not have was the code; that is what is really important.
The trained crew is far more important than the Equipment. The Chinese
got nothing. They already had the equipment but did not have our
software to drive the equipment. By deleting that, we nullified
the value of the aircraft.
The Captain did what he had to do. He saved his crew.

This is an answer from the real military about ditching the plane!
This is from the father of my Grandson concerning the Dumb a--
Reservist comments from yesterday. Ahhh! Maybe this Marine doesn't
know why you ditch a plane in the first place. I doubt the pilot
just wanted to visit the islands below him. The guy who called must
be one of those pilots whose aircraft "breaks" when he
lands in Hawaii, or Germany, Italy, or some other nice spot to take
a couple extra days and go sightseeing.
This guy's comment leads me to believe he isn't flying that sort
of platform. I flew on an RC135 Rivet Joint last summer in the desert,
and I was thoroughly impressed. (Co-pilot scared the piss out of
me once, but that was recovered by the pilot [and corrected] in
no time at all.) I can assure you the Air Force crew I flew with
couldn't give a rat's a-- about how many crew members were wearing
bras. As a matter of fact, the entire crew didn't act any differently
simply because we had a couple of women aboard.
I noticed a difference in the crew while preparing for and executing
their mission. They became the most professional people I've seen
in a long time-especially compared to their behavior and attitudes
while we were back off duty. The only non-routine action that were
going on was the crew accomodating me, a friend of mine, my commander,
and one other guest flying that day. Crew members took the time
to explain what was going on at their stations, and how they do
their job-where they fit in the big picture.
The only major concerns were mandatory safety measures, which we
were briefed thoroughly
on. If we had required an emergency egress, I am 100% sure that
crew would have sent me and the other 3 visitors out to safety before
any of the crew-including the women. Lastly, the women get flight
survival training the same as the men-including the water survival
course.
As for the reserve officer and the other emails: It's always easy
to say, "If I were in that situation, I'd..." but you
never know how you're going to react until the time comes. I know
Clinton hurt the military pretty badly, but we do still have some
good solid professionals.
