I am 20 yrs. old. I'm in my third year of college. I can't believe
what a bunch of idiots my generation has produced. However, in small
defense of generation X, I do feel that there are more conservatives
than most people admit. But as for the liberals my age, man, are
they off the deep end. For example, the other day I got a transparency
made at the library and it cost c. .$39. So, this girl at the desk
prints me out some ridiculously huge receipt. As she hands it to
me, I said that I didn't need it. So she asks me if I want her to
recycle it for me. I said no, I just want you to throw it away.
I think this is a perfect illustration of how government agencies
are so inefficient. It makes me sick.
Also, I read the memo from "town hall" and I can't believe
how anyone could still vote for "slick willy" given these
facts. I just want you to know that to some of generation X CHARACTER
DOES MATTER!!!
Can you believe it, I'm problably one of the young few that actually
still knows, and am proud to recite the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIENCE every
chance I get. I also have respect enough to take off my hat (if
I'm wearing one, which is rare) during the national anthem, and
guess what, I actually sing along.
Even though I'm young I'm so proud to be an AMERICAN and I do realize
that we live in the greatest country in the world. I wish more people
young and old had this feeling.

REPUBLICANS Have "CLASS"

CLASS never runs scared. It is sure-footed and confident. It can
handle whatever comes along.
CLASS has a sense of humor. It knows that a good laugh is the best
lubricant for oiling the machinery of human relations.
CLASS never makes excuses. It takes its lumps and learns from past
mistakes.
CLASS knows that good manners are nothing more than a series of
petty sacrifices.
CLASS bespeaks an aristocracy that has nothing to do with money.
Some extremely wealthy people have no CLASS at all while others
who are struggling to make ends meet are loaded with it.
CLASS is real. You can't fake it.
The person with CLASS makes everyone feel comfortable because he
is comfortable with himself.
If you have CLASS, you've got it made. If you don't have CLASS,
no matter what else you have, it doesn't make any difference.

Subject: Old Geezers
"Geezers" - slang for old man - are easy to spot; At sporting
events, during the playing of the National Anthem, they hold their
caps over their hearts and sing without embarrassment. They know
the words and believe in them.
They remember World War I, the Depression, World War II, Pearl Harbor,
Guadalcanal, Normandy and Hitler. They remember the Atomic Age,
the Korean War, The Cold War, the Jet Age and the Moon Landing,
not to mention Vietnam.
If you bump into a "Geezer" on the sidewalk, he'll apologize,
pass a Geezer on the street, he'll nod, or tip his cap to a lady.
"Geezers" trust strangers and are courtly to women. They
hold the door for the next person and always when walking, make
sure the lady is on the inside for protection.
"Geezers" get embarrassed if someone curses in front of
women and children and they don't like violence and filth on TV
and in movies. Geezers have moral courage. Geezers seldom brag unless
it's about the grandchildren in Little League or music recitals.
It's the "Geezers" who know our great country is protected,
not by politicians or police, but by the young men and women in
the military serving their country in foreign lands, just as they
did, without a thought except to do a good job, the best you can
and to get home to loved ones.
This country needs "Geezers" with their decent values
and common sense. We need them now more than ever. Sadly, however
is the realization that as this generation of "Geezers"
passes on, there doesn't appear to be anyone to take their place.
