Liberal thinking

I have finally figured out the logic that allows the same people to favor abortion and gun control.
They only want to kill the defenseless ones.

I don't get to listen everyday as I work at a pregnancy care center, but I want to thank you for your support of life on your program today (1-22-03). Some comments follow. Abortion is not a woman's issue, it is a humanity issue.

If Planned Parenthood cared about women they would not be making millions on women and their unborn childrens pain. Pregnancy Care Centers charge nothing for any of their services and support the woman no matter what her choice, though they are hopeful they will "choose" life for their child.
Government is here to protect our life, liberty and happiness. LIFE comes first or you can have none of the others. Gorvernment has failed us in abortion. It is not Her body something is done to in an abortion, It is done to the body of another human being, that being a baby girl or boy.

Could you please find out the correct number of Life Marchers at Washington DC for everyone and announce it? That is always overlooked by the liberal media. Plus anything they do show concerning that march is extremely one-sided - I always know the journalists pro-choice position by his report.
Thanks
Irene

Right to Life? Why?

I have a question for these people there is a new pill out there that will abort a baby without surgery which is less costly and less dramatic. Why do we still have a need for abortions? I am really confounded by this. Could they please answer me on this one? This pill seems to be the lesser of the two evils if you don't want the child. What about the fathers rights to the child? I am really upset over that one as an ex girlfriend of my son just went and had one and he had no
say in the matter. What is up with this?

I was working last week and saw a flier for a "Pro-Choice" rally. In the flier they refered to the abortion opponents as 'anti choice'. I wrote on the margin' If they are anti choice, does that make u anti life?' Just another example of selective use of language. But what angers me is that so many of the people who spout this rhetoric only reiterate it.

I will never support any person / politicians who is so immoral / blind / stupid that they do not realize that without the right to life, all other rights are meaningless. All abortionists, (people who support abortion by act or omission), advocate the murder of babies and are evil, period.

This letter was written to President Clinton by a retired Army Officer..... He has it correct.

The Abortion Issue

How to rid ourselves of this cursed question of do you or don't you? The only way to get rid of this is for the people to remove it. The only way for the people to want to remove this as a subject is for the light of day to shine directly on the issue. One side won't let loose because they feel they are divinely right. The other side won't let loose because they fear the intrusion of God and country.

So how to answer this question only Solomon could answer? Although I am not Solomon, I feel that the light of day would put a screeching halt to this problem.

Solution: Install in any and all bills on education, (you know the bills that the draft dodger wants in the worst way. In fact - campaigned on), install a requirement that all students (male, female or,other),view a film on abortion. The film should be strong, not a cartoon version that a three year old could see. The film should at least show:

1.Premature babies from the earliest to the latest.

2. A real birth. 3.A real abortion.

4. Intrviews with people who have had abortions and now regret it and why, (optional).

5.Ultra sound pictures of babies at different stages of gestation.

6. Translate weeks to months and months to weeks ie: A three month premature baby is usualy referred to a 12 week premature and a lot is lost in the week/month translation.

7.This film should beviewed by all 12 year olds and older.

First of all I want to tell you how much I appreciate your radio program and your conservative views that you promote. I also enjoyed the biography of you that was on A&E television.

I am a Conservative Republican, and have been all 62 years of my life. I have voted every year since I was 21. I am also what is called a "radical right wing Christian."

I would like to explain to you why I vote the way I do. To me, the most important issue is: Is the candidate pro-life or pro-abortion ? They can be "a born again Christian", Republican, honest or my best friend, but if they don't stand for the sanctity of life they will never get my vote. That would be like a German citizen voting for Hitler because he united the people, brought them out of a depression and gave everybody a job and made them believe in themselves again, but----- he was still a killer. Right is right and wrong is wrong and I for one will never vote for a person even if they are mostly right, if they are dishonest, or have no respect for life, their other good qualities count for nothing. These values must be basic if a person running for public office wants my vote. When the Republicans learn this and give us good moral men and women who stand for more than keeping the Democrats out of office, they will get my vote and the vote of many other " right wing radical Christians." I don't care if we are in the fore front or the back of the Republican Party, just give me honest, moral candidates and they will get my vote.

Thank you for listening to my opinion.

Your Friend,

Frank

Economy good: reason why. Abortion (legal) started in1973, and in 1993 there were 2 million less job seekers, plus 1.2 million each year after 1993, so we add this up:

1.2 million x 5 yrs = 6 million +2 million= 8 million less job seekers.

Why Women Vote Democrat

Cognitive Dissonance: The discomfort one feels after making a decision, especially a big decision. Some questions that may arise while going through cognitive dissonance: "Did I do the right thing? What if I did something else? Why did I buy the Ford instead of that Chevy? Why did I get red instead of green? Did I do the right thing when I got an abortion? Did I just have a routine medical procedure, or did I actually kill my baby?

If I remember correctly (I took Psychology 101 in 1972), cognitive dissonance will drive you crazy if you don't do something about it. People must resolve this problem by actively seeking out supporting information or like-minded people to help them justify their decisions. A Ford buyer may call his nephew (who loves Fords) to help him feel more comfortable about his decision. Or he may read articles that praise Ford and criticize Chevy...etc., etc.

Women are not pro-abortion or pro-Clinton or pro-Democrat because they want to preserve their "right" to choose...but because they've already excercised that "right" and want to resolve their cognitive dissonance.

By conservative estimate, over 35,000,000 abortions have been performed since Roe. Given that some of those were repeats, lets say that only 25,000,000 women were involved.

The Republican Party, (God bless 'em), says that abortion is wrong and wants to outlaw it ? or at least put restrictions on this "procedure".

Clinton and the Democrats, on the other hand, love abortion and see it as a "good" thing for the over-populated world, the poor woman and her poor unwanted baby...oops, I mean fetus.

25,000,000 women, (incidentially, that number is growing by over 1,000,000 a year), are psychologically dependent on Clinton, the Democrats and other like-minded people to help them rationalize having had abortions. Not all of these women vote. But those who do, are going to choose the party or candidate who makes them feel good about their choice...who helps them sleep at night. This is the Democrat's gender gap - The Abortion Gap.

P.S. Whenever you hear a woman talk about her sacred right to have an abortion, odds are she's already had one.

I am a 31 year old female Mechanical Engineer. Several years ago, I knew I didn't want to have any children; (they are wonderful, but not for me). My husband also felt the same way. Despite precautions, we had a "scare" about a year ago.

Fortunately, it was only a scare. Since then, after much thought, I had my tubes tied. I can't say this is a viable option for everyone, but if a person doesn't want to have children, this is a better option than Abortion.

No matter what anyone says, abortion is "thee" ultimate child abuse! How can this EVER be justified? It can't, but that does not stop the greedy doctors from doing this grizzly procedure. In response to the "darn it's hard to be a woman these days" perspective, let me just say that the argument is absurd. Nobody can legitimately claim to be pro-choice and then deny that very thing to the people who most deserve one. Ridiculous!

She asks, "Isn't it nice to have the choice?" Well, I guess it's probably pretty nice on the winning side, but I sincerely doubt that any of the millions of souls butchered for this "nicety" would deem the procedure nice at all. I've never really been exposed to the horrors of saline, but I can't imagine it is a lot of fun.

Lastly, she argues that just having the choice doesn't mean that people will make the wrong one. Maybe not, but it certainly will make it more enticing. If a young teenager is contemplating this prodigious dilemma and knows that it is legal, "normal," even acceptable, and that Planned Parenthood will drive her there, cover it up from her parents, and force other people to pay for it, doesn't that make the wrong choice all that more appealing?

Yeah, it's hard to be a woman these days. It's hard to do the right thing. It's hard to accept responsibility for your actions. It's hard to take accountability and deal with the consequences of poor decision-making. It's hard to choose the path of thorns over the road of rose petals, but anything in life that is easy, typically isn't worth anything. Abortion is wrong.

* * *

Response to "Damn, it's hard to be woman these days!"

I'm so tired of people complaining about the difficulties of being a member of a certain sex, race, religion, etc.. I, as a young woman, am pleased to be confronted by those who support or oppose my beliefs. Why do I feel that way?
It's probably because I know that the stances I take are based on strong moral values, so I have no problem arguing my side. Now, that may sound egotistical, but I believe most of us know who God is rooting for when it comes to abortion.

There are always going to be people who don't support you or what you do in your life. If you want to be a housewife, I really doubt you will find many antagonists; if there do, get over it. You would think someone so big on "choice" would have a mind of her own.

Thank you for clarifying the definition of "Pro-Choice", I'm sure we all thought it meant, "...running around with every guy in town and having frequent abortions." If you want to support the choice of controlling your own life and body, that's great, just don't kill somebody else in the process. And if you do, you better believe it is my business. The woman is not the innocent victim here, the fetus is. Sure it's not fair that we're the ones who get pregnant, but hey, that's life. If you put yourself at risk of pregnancy, you should be ready to take care of a child or at least carry her/him to term. Actions have consequences, and this is about taking responsibility for them. Of course it is very "nice" to have the choice to have an abortion. It's the convenient option for a lot of people. It's also murder. There are many things that would be "nice", such as robbing a store if you're short on cash; unfortunately, it's illegal, just like abortion should be.

So when you say, "Maybe the Pro-Life movement should have a little faith in humankind in thatsome (sic) people will choose not to have an abortion," why don't you broaden that out to all forms of murder and see how much sense it makes. Some people choosing not to have an abortion is not good enough. Our laws are created to protect human life, and that should include inconveniencing women for a few months if necessary.

This is now cliche, but try to remember when you preach about "choice" as redundantly as you did, that our unborn children should have the opportunity to choose whether they want to live or die. It's interesting that you brought up the issue of "choice" as it relates to voting. As much as you try to avoid making a real choice, why don't you steer clear of voting next time and let those of us who know the difference between right and wrong deal with the issues.

Job Seekers

The person who equates a good economy with 8 million fewer job seekers must not realize those same job seekers, had they lived and gotten jobs, would have also been tax payers. Many would have married and given birth to other job seekers who would also become tax payers. Then someday when you and your generation have become old and unproductive, (not a tax payer), those people would have carried the load of your expense through their Social Security taxes. As it is, however, the two-thirds of that generation who will be carrying the load since one-third of their generation was murdered by abortion, will be overburdened with such a huge expense. And thanks to being desensitized to murder, being spurred on by staggering expense, we will have euthanasia for the elderly, the disabled and anyone else the leftist elite believes disposable.

Was your mother pro-choice?

I find it very interesting that from the moment a woman holds a newborn infant in her arms she would take a bullet to protect that life. There are also laws that punish women for cocaine and other drug use during her pregnancy that cause a child, when born, to have severe defects. These same people would have you think that it's acceptable, even admirable, to deny this child a life at all. I believe the problem is sterilization of the facts. Once you see that little baby, with his tiny fingers wrapped around your pinkie, the thought of doing harm to him is unthinkable. But if you are pregnant, and told that abortion is "just a medical procedure" it becomes sterile. It is not unlike watching the bombing of Iraq during Desert Storm. It was sterile, what I mean by that, was when we saw the bomb hit on the bridges, or other X'd places, it didn't horrify us. It didn't, because we saw no blood, no sobbing, no child laying there missing an arm or a leg with his mother cradling his head in her arms.

While most of us supported the Desert Storm, I'd hate to see how many of us would have been against it, had we seen the actual suffering. In war, a necessary evil, it is better that we do not know the full details. In abortion, not a necessary evil, I believe that it IS necessary to know exactly what it is that is being done to these unborn children.

I believe, with all my heart, that were the public given equal access to the truth, the gory details, and educated about abortions..it would no longer be an issue.

Abortion

There are other ways to make love besides planting seeds in wombs. Once it is decided to do so the couple involved is responsible to care for the child until it has grown enough to take care of itself. Only in cases of rape and such should abortion be considered - and that's all there is to it. It's a shame we have to pass laws to point out what is so obvious.

"Fetal Tissue Research"

While crusing on the superhighway the other evening I came across a couple of eye opening websites: "Aborted Fetuses Being Dissected Alive, Harvested and Sold in Pieces to Fuel a Vast Reasearch Enterprise (http://albertareport.com) and "The Dead Baby Parts Business is Booming" (www.thewandererpress.com). I was unaware that this industry uses actual "viable" baby body organs! If you call OPENING LINES, a Division of Consultative & Diagnostic Pathology, Inc. at 1-800-490-9980 you can ask them to send you "the Fee for Services" brochure that lists baby parts and how much their worth: i.e. Livers less than 8 weeks = $150, Spleens less than 8 weeks = $75, Brains less than 8 weeks = $999, eyes, pancreas, thymus, limbs, etc., even intact embryonic cadavers go for $400 (if less than eight weeks and $600 if more.) And one wonders why Partial Birth Abortions Bans are being vetoed by the president and found unconstitutional by liberal judges. Could there be some kick backs here?

In closing - how is it that the abortion industry is making a killing on "unviable tissue mass"??

All survivors of pregnancy!

Abortion is the most horrific of human rights holocausts. Abortion is procreation anarchy.
Abortion kills a living human being . . . like you. Abortion is an attempt to deny the intended consequence of sex . . .new human life.

Abortion has created a little known market for the sale of human fetus body parts.
Abortion is almost never medically indicated to save the life of the mother.

Abortion sears the conscience of each participant, all those who defend its legality, and those who exercise apathy response to it.

Abortion has one main purpose: . . . to allow indiscriminate sex while exterminating the resultant life that results.

Partial Birth Abortion is infact infanticide. P.B.A. is a late term abortion that induces labor in a mother and the CHILD is deliberately born feet first. When all but the head has been
born, a sharp instrument is inserted into the base of the skull and the brain is removed with suction, collapsing the head, and killing the CHILD. Procrastination is likely the main reason for the late term abortion. Some mothers may be encouraged to wait to have an abortion for the reason of developing more mature "body parts" for sale.

The United States House of Representatives voted twice by 2/3 majority to ban the P.B.A. "procedure". The United States Senate voted to ban the P.B.A. "procedure" by a large
majority twice. However, 4 republicans (Chaffee, Snowe, Jeffords, and Collins) voted against the ban. These 4 republicans allowed President Clinton to veto the P.B.A. ban
twice.

More than 38 million young people have been killed at the hands of a "health care providers". If YOU are thankful for the life that God gave you, help end the senseless killing of our children.

Abortion Survey

Personally, I am sick of the "you have to adopt every unwanted child" argument. First of all, the media has completely ignored the efforts of the pro-life community to care for teenage mothers -- the Liberty Godparent homes are perfect examples. Second of all, I have yet to find an abortionist who is willing to provide his "services" for free to mothers who cannot afford abortions. If WE have to "put up or shut up", then so should they.

I've also gotten very sick of the "men shouldn't have a right to say ANYTHING about a woman's choice" people. As a, (potentially aborted), adopted child, I thank God on a daily basis that my birth mother wasn't talked into an abortion by a doctor with profit on his mind and little else. I remind people that, statistically, 50% of those babies that they are thoughtlessly killing are, in fact, male, so men DO have a stake in the issue.

* * *

Abortion Debate

First, to the woman who is pro-choice, urging us to allow people to make their own choice. The law currently does allow people to make their own choice. 1.5 million women per year are choosing to kill their babies. This is what it is about, the gruesome murder of 1.5 million innocent lives every year. And the baby has its own body! It is not your body, it belongs to the baby. Its DNA is unique.

And to the economist, there are currently 8 million fewer job seekers, but in 10 to 15 years when all of the baby boomers retire, there will be 30.5 million fewer people paying into social security to support the retired boomers. The strain on the economy then will be unbelievable!

But that does not matter. What matters is the brutal murder of 1.5 million babies per year. May God have mercy on us!

Abortion

I was having a debate on abortion over dinner the other night with a so called conservative. She was telling me that she was pro-life except in the cases of rape and incest. On the surface this seems like a debatable stand. It made me think, and the thought that stays with me is why should a human life be terminated for any reason, other than the death penalty?. There are many families willing to adopt if the birth mother cannot handle the circumstances under which their child was concieved.

One more thought. If the only reason a woman was allowed to abort was in the instance of rape, how many women would lie and claim rape?

* * *

It is hard for me to understand why there is a conflict over abortion. Although, I know the church cannot endorse birth control and promiscuous sex, there are enough options out there to prevent pregnancy if one does not want one. The law does not allow a woman to do anything that she wants with her body. She's not allowed to prostitute herself, or do drugs, or drive without a seat belt on, or even attempt to commit suicide. So abortion being legal because it's a woman's body doesn't wash. Women might try to get abortions if they were illegal, but I think that more would try harder not to get pregnant in the first place. It's not a matter of a woman's choice because there is another living being involved. They (pro-choicers) say that because the baby relies on the mother to live, it is her choice to destroy it or not, but since the baby will still rely on the mother for survival after it is born, does this justify murdering it? Pro-Choicers hate being called pro-abortion advaocates but that's what they are.

If you feel that there is nothing wrong with a woman CHOOSING to kill her baby because she wasn't responsible enough to prevent a baby in the first place, you support abortions, and are partly responsible for the murder of these children. It doesn't matter if you yourself would never have one, because you promote it by supporting it. If feminists really cared about women, they would be warning these women that by risking pregnancy and not protecting themselves, they are also risking AIDS. They should be telling women to have more self respect.

I will not EVER vote for a pro-choice candidate because the unborn need a voice. Their right to life is ignored simply because they don't have a voice of their own. Feminists have their own agenda, and they lie to the public to get it. Look what happened in Roe v. Wade, they totally brainwashed their client into following their agenda without her knowledge of all of their plans.

Abortion

I THOUGHT AN ABORTION WAS A WOMANS CHOICE UNTIL I ACTUALLY SAW THE RESULTS OF ONE ON TV YEARS AGO. EVEN A CHILD WOULD KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING AND KNOW A BABY JUST DIED. LEFT TO NATURE A BABY WOULD BE BORN IN 9 MONTHS OR LESS IT WOULDN'T BE A FROG OR BIRD; IT WOULD BE A BABY. WHY IF IT ISN'T SO GROSS IS IT NOT SHOWN ON TV? EVERYTHING ELSE IS. I'D HATE
TO SPEND ONE NIGHT THINKING IF I EVER HAD AN ABORTION. AND CAN'T UNDERSTAND WITH SO MANY PEOPLE TRYING TO HAVE BABIES WHY THERE SHOULD EVER BE ONE THAT WOULDN'T BE LOVED.

No Mercy for Gore

Al Gore is learning that support for abortion on demand has a price. Gore was scheduled to give a major Medicare speech at Mercy Hospital, a Catholic institution, in Scranton, Pennsylvania. When Scranton Bishop James Timlin found out, the speech was abruptly cancelled. Said Bishop Timlin, "We consider abortion to be an unspeakable crime." Hats off to the Bishop for speaking the truth and not being seduced by politicalpower. Instead, he spoke truth to power. That is what Christians must do if we are going to transform American politics.

Being Responsible For Personal Choices

What's all the fuss about abortion......?

I can't figure out how so many people get duped, suckered and seduced onto bandwagons, especially intelligent, articulate people. If abortion is approached from a strictly clinical perspective, keep the comments and opinions clinical, or if economical, stick to that. But no, somewhere in every argument, the so-called "sancity of life" crops up. And one of the debators finds scripture to quote. There ain't nothin' in there about the sanctity of life. The problem can only be solved at the individual level, not by legislation (you can't legislate morality). Life, I believe, is NOT a right, but a responsibility. Somewhere along the line, individuals must be held accountable for their actions and come to realize it is not the duty of those of us who endeavour to live responsibly to make up for their mistakes.

Uh Oh... I just might run the risk of being labeled radical for having an absolute conviction about something. When we replace condoms in the school with real values, when we tell young men and women that the state is not going to pay for your playtime, when the users of the system come to realize, on a very grand scale, that they are 100% responsible for the CHOICES they make, then maybe individual choices will be more consistent with responsibility.

I don't give a rat's butt about pro-choice, pro-life, or pro-abortion. We need senators and leaders that understand and promote personal responsibility. Perhaps the same tenets can be applied to "gun control", and the so-called war on drugs and poverty. As long as there are people expecting you and me to take responsibility for their mistakes (read "choices"), there will be politicians and SIGs and bleeding hearts promoting their respective agendas, usually with the results affecting YOUR hard earned income, YOUR hard won rights. I see way too much emphasis on "I got my rights" and far too little on "I got responsibilities". As for a Biblical view, abortion is NEVER addressed to the best of my knowledge, anywhere in there. The closest thing I can find is miscarriage as a result of a personal attack, punishable by fine.

The reality of life and death, biblically is so far removed from the world's perceived reality that in the case of abortion it is probably not even applicable. One way to stop the insidious onslaught of these personal-agenda promoting do-gooders, on both sides, is to get off the band wagon and begin to exercise and teach personal responsibility, all the way to ALLOWING those who refuse to exercise same, shall simply have to bear the burden of their actions. Whew!!!!

Abortion

As a pro-life feminist, I am deeply disturbed by the faction of the feminist movement that has abandoned the ideas of Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and other feminist foremothers, by condemning the unique, life-giving capacity women have, and viewing the unborn child as a burden and/or enemy. ( I do have essays by the first feminists that clearly support the unborn's right to life.)

I have been very active in the pro-life movement and have talked with many women and girls who have personally experienced abortion. For most, the women wanted to keep their babies, but boyfriends, spouses, friends, family, etc. expressed that they would not support the woman or the baby - yet, they would pay for an abortion. How sad that so many people spout the negative rhetoric of abortion advocates and aid in ending the life of an innocent child and scarring a woman mentally and physically for life.

There are many reasons that women abort, but none are out of a mere 'choice' - for abortion is an act of desperation. Some may speak of it in a nonchalant manner, but God knows what wakes them in the middle of the night when they are alone. I feel for the women who have taken the path of desperation, and that path includes many of the women who strongly support abortion on the frontline. If abortions were so liberating for women, why can they barely speak of their own experience?

Let us look at this issue another way: let's eliminate the REASONS behind this desperate act - not the innocent children.

Why guns aren't the answer... (What Abortion has taught our Children)

The reason you could play shoot 'em up when you were a kid, and not fear the level of violence with which we now live, I would suggest, can be laid directly on the doorstep of Roe-vs-Wade. That was the turning point upon which life has been increasingly de-valued. We have a generation of kids who know fully that they exist because Mom didn't abort them; but she well could have. And who know that Dr. Kovorkian and his ilk are looming at the other end of life. Movies, music, poor parenting, confused guidance counselors, gun control - all are part of the kaleidescope. But the underlying distortion in the mirror, if you will, is that we as a society have decided that human life can be judged "fit to exist" on an abritrary and subjective level. This disortion away from the sacredness of life affects every other aspect of our culture and national existence. I could go on, but I'll leave to you the opportunity to extrapolate.

* * *

Pro-Choice is not about "murdering the un-born"???

If you believe that a human life starts at conception then you have to believe that aborting that life is killing that life. If you don't know when a soul is breathed into that life then why would you want to take the chance that the life you are aborting (killing) might not have been given a soul by our Creator? Pro-Choicers must understand that a Pro-Lifer believes that the unborn are human beings, complete with a soul and a distinct, individual life. No one has the right to snuff out that life for reasons of lifestyle, convenience, fear, etc... An unborn child is just that - an unborn CHILD. Innocent and deserving of life.

ABORTION

I know you must get a lot of e-mails, but this is one you need to talk about. There is a tragic case here in San Antonio that exposes the hypocrisy of the "pro-choice" side.

A pregnant 15 year old girl was shot and lost her unborn baby. The shooter cannot be prosecuted for killing the unborn baby. The paper quotes Bexar County District Attorney Susan Reed as saying "Under Texas law, you can't be charged for killing a fetus, or then abortion would be considered aggravated assault."

The paper then goes on to explain "State lawmakers have repeatedly proposed legislation that would strengthen protections for the unborn in assault cases, a move that abortion rights advocates have opposed and abortion foes have supported."

Rush, the pro-choice side claims it is up to each person to decide for themselves, but they will only fight for a women choosing to kill her unborn baby. Here they are fighting against a women choosing not to kill her baby because they are afraid of the implications of giving any protection to unborn babies. They are totally contradicting their argument of choice, in order to protect the right of a women to kill her baby.

This case shows just how far out they are. Yet they call John Ashcroft an extremist.

Stem Cell Research & Partial Birth Abortion

You are right on in your assessment that stem cell advocates are just Pro-choicers in disguise. I think Bush's decision on stem cells could lead to a major victory for Pro-lifers. If Liberals in the House and Senate push for federal funding for research on the 100,000 or so embryos that are currently off-limits, Bush could insist on an amendment to the bill which would ban partial birth abortions. It would be be the right thing to do to trade the 100,000 embryos which have the potential to develop into babies for the babies that are killed each year by partial birth abortion. It is clearly the lesser of the two evils and would split the pro-lifers into two camps and expose them for what they are. I believe the vast majority of Pro-lifers would support Bush in such a measure.

Johnny

I heard Geraldine Ferraro say that in regards to Stem Cell Research that "Life begins once an embryo is in a woman's womb". Does that mean that with her support of Abortion that she was supporting murder? Maybe she has flip flopped in the Abortion issue - Maybe she read one of Clinton's pollster's data. Or maybe she is a typical liberal that wants to cure all ills and not understand that there is a consequence for every action.

I miss hearing your show on a regular basis since I am no Longer an outside sales Rep. I know you have probable already spoken about this.

Thanks for all you do.

I don't know if you will read this but I am so tired like you of people thinking that stem cell research is the answer to every health illness. I have been a nurse for over 15 years and have taken care of many sick people and many who have died. My belief is that we are here on this earth for a purpose and are her to live the good times and the bad times. The bottom line is life is not FAIR and it never will be, nature has a way of making new diseases and new germs, take antibiotics they were once a miracle now we have bugs that antibiotics can't kill and people still die of severe infections. I heard on another talk show from a stem cell researcher that stem cells are readily available from the placentas of new born baby's, they can be harvested but it takes more steps and COSTS MORE MONEY!!! therefore, they don't want to use what they already have. I too have had a great loss in my life. My husband and I lost our baby to SIDS and no matter how much research is done on stem cells, It will not help the babies who die from it since medicine has no idea what causes it!! So little money is spent on SIDS research, yet it is the number ONE cause of death in infants under one year of age. Almost all research is privately funded.

Just my thoughts, Elaine

I am a retired surgeon, Republican, but increasingly bothered by the dialogue engulfing the stem cell research issue. There is so much misinformation being bandied about that it is no wonder confusion abounds. The gentleman with his infant sons in his arms who testified before the house sub-committee is a typical example. The answer to his rhetorical question, "which of my sons would you kill?" is neither, and neither would those doing stem cell research. The blastocysts which are used to obtain cell lines for use in research are not destined for implantation in receptive uteri, but for the trash can. Surely, noone would consider the discarding of unneeded blastocysts to be murder, so why not put these cells to use benefiting mankind?

Yours, for more enlightened discussion

I am a 15 yr. old female and I feel that if all the adults/parents should do more educating and talking to us teens than just telling us don't have sex or protect your self when you have sex because that's not the point. There are more teenagers having abortions than anyother age group. As I see it that parents don't take the time to listen to their kids and understand were their coming from. When you don't listen to then you don't know what kind of problems there are having that's why the go out and have sex and it only takes one time to have sex and make a baby. Now when they find out that they are pregnant they have realized that they have mad a mistake, and the only other thing they can do is have an abortion so that they wouldn't ruin their life. People are so quick to talk about people who have abortions. But I just want to say one thing, don't be to quick to down them because wh! at they did was right. They have problems on their own to deal with and once you add another life to the problem worst than what it is. Who knows, that could have been you way back then. Because your mother didn't have to have you, she choose to!

Wondering if you have received the Planned Parenthood survey yet? I have, two times. I finally decided to respond to it. I wonder if my answers will be recorded or tossed. They are hoping, and I quote," ...to prove to President Bush and members of our anti-choice Congress that a majority of Americans support reproductive rights." I am pro-choice and I couldn't resist asking them why they call themselves pro-choice. As far as I can tell, they are pro-abortion. I never hear from Planned Parenthood unless they are fighting for someone to have an abortion or to let pro-lifers know they are wrong and evil. And they call themselves freedom fighters for reproductive rights!! They are a joke.

Also, their garbage claiming it is the woman"s right to decide to abort. The man isn't important. I'll bet you a dollar Planned Parenthood would be knocking on the father's door looking for child support if the woman kept the baby. They are so transparent. Hey, their new name is Transparent Hood!!

Pro Choice before Conception

Women have always had a choice. The choice comes before conception. The onl y woman who doesn't get a choice is the one who is raped. What wome n really are fighting to keep is the right to be selfish and irresponsibl e. The law is simply enabling women and men (especially youth) to b e irresponsible without the guilt. Apparently they base t heir moral behavior on the laws of the land. These same people prob ably think adultery is moral. There is no law against it.

I am disgusted by the referral to Connor Peterson as a fetus!!! From the moment he was conceived, he was given the breath of life by God himself. It is disgusting how N.O.W. and other like organ izations are so concerned with pushing their murderous agenda, they cannot conceive of the sanctity of human life. Scott Peterson is quite possibly guilty of double homicide, and if he is convicted, he deserves the death penalty.

N.O.W. -

I find it more than a little disturbing that the national organization for women has voiced their discord with Lacey Peterson's husband being given the "special circumstance" additional muder charge for their unborn child. Obviously they would then concede that an unborn child at 8 months is actually a person, and not a "condition to be aborted at will. I suppose that would by default make all pro-choice types murderers. Hmmm.

Washington DC Abotion Rally - The Facts of Life and the Abortion Rally

The facts of life was correct and their was present a screaming, shrieking ugly woman by the name of Hellary Clinton who said to the crowd you must sign up every American who agrees with us to get Bush out of the White House. Something like that as I was trying desperately to shut her up by surfing but I was so mad I was hitting the volume instead. I could have done without seeing Hellary as right after her ranting and raving, I felt sick to my stomach.

Mad Madeline Albright was there screaming also and of course a few Hollywood idiots along for the ride. Every channel of news displayed them and I wonder where were all the news media when the anti-abortion supporters showed up in Washington. I'm beginning to think that Hellary, Heinz and Kerry look alike because of their inner hate for the middle class, those who believe in God and those who love America and the military. They're all ugly, mean looking people who have to scream hateful messages.

Prayer for our military.

Washington DC Abortion Rally -

The Facts of Life and the Abortion Rally - Bonnie Chernin Rogoff`

Officially, it's known as the March for Women's Lives. NARAL promotes it as an event to celebrate "choice, justice, access and health." Organized by Planned Parenthood, the National Organization for Women, and other pro-abortion radicals, the rally on the National Mall in Washington on April 25, 2004 will promise to keep abortion safe and legal. Voices will chant for reproductive freedom and women's rights. From them, you won't hear voices of regret, or learn about legal abortion choices that are harming and killing women.

The media coverage will be positive, presenting abortion as a sacred act that empowers women. Before CNN turns you into an April fool, consider all the facts the pro-aborts won't tell you:

Legal abortion kills women. The two latest victims are 18-year-old Holly Patterson, who died last year and 15-year-old Tamia Russell who died in January 2004. Holly Patterson was seven weeks pregnant and given RU-486 and Cytotec. Chemical abortions are contraindicated at her stage of pregnancy, but that didn't stop Planned Parenthood's Golden Gate clinic from supplying the drugs to Holly.

Tamia Russell, a Michigan teenager, was only 15 and six months pregnant when she died in January 2004. She was the victim of statutory rape. Her safe and legal abortion was performed at the WomanCare abortion mill in Southfield, Michigan. This facility had serious health code violations and was the subject of 23 lawsuits in the last 20 years. The abortionist, Alberto Hodari, had already killed another woman and inflicted serious injuries including hysterectomies on three women aged 19, 22 and 23.

Tamia's abortion was performed without parental consent, in violation of Michigan's Parental Consent Law. She later succumbed to massive hemorrhaging and sepsis.

Planned Parenthood has a history of protecting pedophiles that prey on underage girls like Tamia. Via a series of underground tapes, Life Dynamics, an organization founded by Mark Crutcher, exposed Planned Parenthood as protectors of predatory men who bring young girls into their mills to obtain abortions, sometimes more than once. Furthermore, the PP mill workers don't report these statutory rape crimes. The information is available on Life Dynamics website at: www.lifedynamics.com.

Sadly, deaths and serious injuries are not isolated incidents, and teenagers are not the only victims. In April 2004, a 30-year-old woman left sterile after an RU-486 abortion sued the Akron Women's Center in Ohio. The mill failed to diagnose a ruptured ectopic pregnancy.

Nationwide, abortion mills are not subject to even the minimal safety standards set for other medical facilities. The Wichita Eagle and the AP both report that a Kansas bill that would regulate abortion businesses by the Department of Health and Environment was "tentatively approved" but will likely be vetoed by the governor. Like many pro-abortion groups, Governor Kathleen Sebelius supports unrestricted access to abortion and may compromise women's health to achieve that goal.

At the abortion rally you'll hear deceptions and false statistics. They say Americans are unanimously pro-choice. However, recent national polls indicate most Americans believe abortion is murder and that strong restrictions should be enacted. They call pro-lifers "anti-choice extremists". The fact is pro-aborts oppose parental consent laws that most Americans support. Their groups even arrange for minors to be transported from states with parental consent/notification laws and relocated temporarily to states that have no laws so they can obtain abortions clandestinely.

Rally speakers will accuse pro-lifers of endangering women's lives by not including a "health" exception in the partial birth abortion (PBA) law. Yet, in one of three PBA trials currently underway, a San Francisco abortionist contradicted claims by a Planned Parenthood medical director, testifying that partial birth abortions can lacerate the victim's cervix and kill her. Infamous Nebraska abortionist Leroy Carhart coldly admits dismembering and decapitating unborn babies during the PBA procedure. A pediatrician testified that the PBA procedure causes the unborn baby "severe and excruciating" pain.

Abortion groups claim illegal abortions killed 5,000 to 10,000 women per year. The truth is that by 1966, the year before the first state liberalized abortion, fatalities dropped to 120 per year due to the overall improvement in medical care and the introduction of antibiotics. You have to go back to the pre-antibiotic days, the 1940's, and even then the highest annual death toll was 1,679. Former abortionist and NARAL founder Dr. Bernard Nathanson admits the 10,000 number was intentionally inflated just to get abortion legalized!

Today, the abortion mortality statistics are deflated by the Center for Disease Control, whose surveillance unit is comprised of abortion advocates and practitioners. That's why many more women are dying of legal abortions than are being reported. The CDC does not codify abortion as the cause of death, but lists the complication as the cause, such as embolism, or heart attack. For the details of the scam, read the following two reports:

We are under a TREMENDOUS DEADLINE in the fight to ban partial-birth abortion ... I have just returned from New York - where I spent several weeks at the trial of National Abortion Federation v. Ashcroft each day. Now we are focused on preparing our major brief in this case representing members of Congress who drafted the law - a massive undertaking - due in JUST WEEKS.

Frankly, I am encouraged by the way this case has progressed. Although we heard disturbing - even disgusting - testimony about partial-birth abortion ... ... we also heard dramatic testimony that clearly shows this procedure takes the life of a partially-born child in a manner that is brutal - painful - and BARBARIC!

Medical experts brought in by the U.S. Department of Justice testified that:

1. Partial-birth abortion is NEVER MEDICALLY NECESSARY to preserve the life or health of the mother. More than 90 percent of these procedures are elective.

2. The procedure itself is UNSAFE. One medical fetal specialist testified that the procedure "potentially poses health and safety risks to the women, including their future ability to carry children to term." Other abortion methods are safer, he said.

3. The partially-born child EXPERIENCES PAIN during the life-ending procedure. One physician testified that the procedure is "certainly excruciatingly painful" to an unborn child, who, at just 18 weeks in the womb, already demonstrates acute stress to outside stimulus.

The government has developed a strong case - and we are hopeful that the court will ultimately decide that the partial-birth abortion ban is CONSTITUTIONAL!

But we are going up against abortion's greatest advocates: ACLU, National Abortion Federation, Planned Parenthood, National Organization for Women ... all well-funded, all desperate to prevent any restrictions to abortion.

You and I must be the voice for the unborn children! That is why we are investing countless man-hours ... researching every possible legal angle ... preparing the STRONGEST ARGUMENT as we file our major brief - representing members of Congress who drafted the law.

Your support as a member of the ACLJ will make such a difference right now at this strategic moment in the fight for life ... please let us hear from you with your best gift IMMEDIATELY! Thank you!
