I am in Europe. I just got a computer to listen to you and the black avenger. Am glad to hear your voice. I'm amazed you can still have discussions and disagreements without Clinton stepping in toward the end, saying, 'I am doing everything I can to resolve this problem.' He can then take credit for knowing everything about everything. All the talk of Mrs. and Mr. Clinton over here has prompted us to call them 'The Hilly and Billy Show.' Europeans are sick of him just commenting on everything. When does he stop speaking to a closed room or obviously screened guests? Look, for example, at the 'Good Friday Agreement' It was signed sometime after Halloween and is absolutely different from anything written on Good Friday. We were getting bored with Mitchell too, as was all of Ireland both North and South.
People all over Europe are wondering why your president is travelling so much. None of it seems necessary. He has been invited everywhere. Once. Hil and Billy are now inviting themselves. One more thing, if I may. You have another election coming. I noticed last time that the Republicans called their opponents by name, (thus giving them more publicity), while the Democrats, (mainly Gore and Clinton), referred to the opposition as 'they' or the 'opponents' or the 'Republicans.'' I feel that is a habit to be cultivated by your party.

I am late in writing the feelings of an ordinary housewife.... From the onset of Clinton's reign of baffonery, I have related his life to that of the fairy tale "The Emporers New Clothes"...Many people would not remember this story, so I will relate a short version. In a small empire reigned an emporer who was very full of himself and very particular about his style of clothing and that he and no one else should out shine him. Needless to say, he was never satisfied with what was brought before him by his royal tailors, he wanted more more.....
Finally, they knew no other way to placate him, so they pretended to show him invisible clothers with such lavish discriptions, he was so taken with the words that he believed them to be true...In his pomposity and arrogance he decided he would where these (invisible) fantastic new clothes in his parade , which was to glorify himself, the next day. As he walked in the parade, very high on his throne to be sure, thinking he was the center of all their admiration etc etc....He didn't realize that he was walking naked down the middle of town, for all to see. An analogy--You can best add a ditto to this one.
I am also concerned about the hard ball game of Larry Flint..There will probably be a cartoon soon showing all the democrats and republicans down a rabbit hole, with Larry Flint above holding a shotgun with a big sick grin on his face.
This will obviously backfire on all politicians......for what ? To protect a sleaze ball like Clinton?

Yes, we do owe a debt of gratitude to the Clintons for showing us how easy it has been for them to hoodwink taxpayers, intimidate insecure Republicans, and sway coverage of selected photo ops by using and manipulating the media. We have a new regard for the network anchors and figureheads. A very low regard, I might add. After watching CNN and NBC being coached and manipulated by the Clinton's pep club, I regard them as propaganda tools and definitely not news media.
Using the same strategies that Clinton is now using, I can see how easy it was for Hitler to play mind games with the people of Nazi Germany and why people eventually felt it was OK to kill and incinerate Jews. After all wasn't Hitler simply "doing what the people wanted, simply doing his job for the country?" This is what Geraldo and Larry would have us believe. And like Nazi Germany, we knew it was happening but put our head in the sand and tried to act like it didn't affect us so it was OK.
The Clintons are playing mind games with people who have a hell of a lot more communication and information available than what Nazi Germany. In spite of that we still hear: I am doing what the people want. I am following the people's mandate.
The people want me to have affairs and disgrace the White House.
The people are so damned stupid they'll go along with us on this, Hillary.
If I break the law they made me do it, after all they voted for me knowing I was a liar.

I am a long time listener and fan. Recently while reading the "Personal Memoirs of U.S. Grant" I came across a paragraph and immediately thought of you. This paragraph is taken from page 107 out of E.B. Longs 1952 edited version. He is writing about a time in his life around 1860 admitting how he had "thought but little about politics" prior to this. If you have not read this book, realize that he wrote it with the help of Mark Twain very near the end of his life. It would be hard to imagine his life's wisdom not playing out in the following paragraph.
"I have no apologies to make for having been one week a member of the American Party; for I still think native born citizens of the United States should have as much protection, as many privileges in their native country, as those who voluntarily select it for a home. But all secret oath-bound political parties are dangerous to any nation, no matter how pure or patriotic the motives and principles which first bring them together. No political party can or ought to exist when one of its cornerstones is the opposition to freedom of thought and to the right to worship God "according to the dictate of one's own conscience", or according to the creed of any religious denomination whatever. Nevertheless, if a sect sets up its laws as binding above the State laws, wherever the two come in conflict this claim must be resisted and suppressed at whatever cost.
I wonder what U.S. Grant would think of Bill Clinton and the Democratic Party. Grant earned his wisdom and let go the glory. I don't think Clinton could even imagine. His references to hero's like Kennedy could not possibly compare even in modern times to what this mans life was simply about.

I was embarrassed to read that President Clinton and his advisors have said, "The older generation must learn to sacrifice as other generations have done." That's my generation. I knew eventually someone would ferret out the dirty secret: we've lived the "lifestyle of the rich and famous" all our lives.
Now, I know I must bare the truth about my generation and let the country condemn us for our selfishness. During the Depression we had a hilarious time dancing to the tune of "Brother Can You Spare A Dime?" We could choose to dine at any of the country's fabulous soup kitchens, often joined by our parents and siblings. Yes, those were the heady days of carefree self-indulgence.
Then, with World War II, the cup filled to overflowing. We had the chance to bask on the exotic beaches of Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima and Okinawa; to see the capitols of Europe and travel to such scenic spots as Bastogne, Malmedy and Monte Cassino. Of course, one of the most exhilarating adventures was the stroll from Bataan to the local Japanese hotels, laughingly known as death camps.
But the good times really rolled for those lucky enough to be on the beaches of Normandy for the swimming and boating that pleasant June day in '44. Unforgettable.Even luckier were those that drew the prized holiday tickets for cruises on sleek, gray ships to fun filled spots like Midway, The Solomons and Murmansk. Instead of asking, "what can we do for our country," an indulgent government let us fritter away our youth wandering idly through the lush and lovely jungles of Burma and New Guinea.
Yes, it's all true: we were pampered, we were spoiled rotten, and we never did realize what sacrifice meant. We envy you, Mr. Clinton, the harsh lessons you learned in London, Moscow and Little Rock. Punish us for our failings, sir, that we may learn the true meaning of Duty, Honor, and Country.

CommentaryEvery time I think that the Clinton administration has reached the apex of outrages, it tops itself. The latest? The administration apparently intends to trade a young woman's life for some secret backroom deal it is trying to make with the mullahs ruling Iran. Mahnaz Samadi, 39, an Iranian feminist and human-rights activist who was granted political asylum in 1995, was arrested this year and is being treated by the Immigration and Naturalization Service almost as inhumanely as the Iranian government treated her.
Her alleged crime? She tried to liberate Iran -- not during the years she has lived in this country but before she arrived. Now make sense out of this. The U.S. government has officially branded Iran as a sponsor of terrorism. It has passed all kinds of punitive laws against Iran. Yet it has now belatedly decided that those Iranians who fight against the same Iranian government the United States opposes are now terrorists.
Since she was granted asylum, Samadi has simply made speeches on behalf of human rights and particularly on behalf of the rights of women in Iran. She was arrested in Iran at the age of 17, sexually abused, tortured and held in prison for four years. She was forced to watch her younger brother being tortured. He and another brother were later executed. Her parents died of broken hearts. Her younger sister was imprisoned for 10 years.
When she was released, she continued to work in the underground for human rights until 1991, when she went into hiding in Iranian Kurdistan to escape arrest. She went to Iraq and there joined the resistance. Later she went back to Iranian Kurdistan and finally made her way to the United States.
Now, get this. The resistance that she joined, the National Liberation Army, was not designated a terrorist organization at the time she was a member. The Clinton administration arbitrarily labeled it terrorist in 1997 -- two years after she was granted asylum. Members of Congress, members of the U.S. Senate and parliamentary majorities in Britain, Italy and Belgium have recognized the NLA as a legitimate resistance organization.
Samadi, arrested in Buffalo, has been subjected to the federal shuffle, suddenly moved from one jail to another and denied bail. She is now being held in an Alabama county jail, far away from her attorneys and the people who are trying to help her. Even though a federal judge has transferred her case to Arlington, the INS has refused to move her from Alabama. When her attorney visited her, the Farsi translator was denied admission, and after every visit by her attorney, she is strip-searched.
If the Clinton administration sends this woman back to Iran, it will be an act of cold-blooded murder. She will be tortured and publicly executed, and the Iranian government is already saying publicly that Clinton is going to deport her -- before she even has had a hearing. Obviously the administration is hoping to trade an innocent human life for some favor from the mullahs. What, I don't know, but the evil of this administration has no bottom. It's bad enough to send a 6-year-old, Elian Gonzalez, back to be brain-washed in Cuba so some American businessman can cut a deal with Fidel Castro. Now it is condemning an innocent woman to death in pursuit of some hidden agenda.
Even Sen. Robert Torricelli, normally an ardent Clinton supporter, is raising hell about this, as indeed the American people should. To condemn an innocent woman to death because she tried to liberate Iran is blasphemy against the Declaration of Independence.

I recently saw a bumper sticker that said, "Thank me, I voted for Clinton-Gore." So, I sat down and reflectedon that and I am sending my "Thank you" for what you have done, specifically:
1. Thank you for introducing us to Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky, Dolly Kyle Browning, Kathleen Willey, and Juanita Broaddrick. Are there anyothers that we should know about?
2. Thank you for teaching my 8 year old about oral sex.I had really planned to wait until they were about 10 or so to discuss it with them, but now they know more about it than I did as a senior in college.
3. Thank you for showing us that sexual harassment in the work place (especially the White House) and on the job is OK, and all you have to know is what the meaning of "IS" is. It really is great to know that certain sexual acts are not sex and one person may have sex while the other one involved does NOT have >sex.
4. Thank you for reintroducing the concept of impeachment to a new generation and demonstrating that the ridiculous plot of the movie, "Wag The Dog", could be plausible after all.
5. Thanks for making Jimmy Carter look competent, Gerald Ford look graceful, Richard Nixon look honest, Lyndon Johnson look truthful, and John Kennedy look moral.
6. Thank you for the 72 House and Senate witnesses who have plead the 5th Amendment and 17 witnesses who have fled the country to avoid testifying about Democrat campaign fund raising.
7. Thank you for the 19 charges, 8 convictions, and 4 imprisonments from the Whitewater "mess" and the 55 criminal charges and 32 criminal convictions (so far) n the other "Clinton" scandals.

I just watched a program on America's Voice - they showed a video tape of Chinese meeting with people from Arkansas and that guy that did all the illegal stuff that they haven't been able to prosecute - can't think of his name but it absolutely backs up everything that Rush said from the very beginning that they groomed Clinton for the presidency knowing that they would have control of him in the future. Washington -- In Melville's "Moby Dick," a tormented Captain Ahab wanders the world's oceans in search of a white whale -- and in so doing, jeopardizes all aboard his ill-fated vessel. Bill Clinton's global pursuit of a legacy has become such a quest. This week, following a singularly unsuccessful safari to Africa, and with his time at the helm fast running out, the captain of our ship of state briefly visited the troubled waters of Colombia looking for his own white whale -- something other than the lies, infidelity and impeachment for which he will be remembered. His quarry evaded him.For starters, our fearless leader arrived in Cartagena on Wednesday armed with a blunt harpoon -- $1.3 billion in long overdue, Congressionally-mandated military and economic assistance. This aid package may make Colombia the world's third largest recipient of U.S. foreign aid, but it may also prove to be too little, too late. U.S. Intelligence experts estimate that the 20,000 members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), and the National Liberation Army (ELN) take in nearly $100 million per month from narcotics-trafficking, kidnapping and extortion, making these radical narco-terrorists the best trained, armed and equipped revolutionaries in the world.
Second, Clinton's host, Colombia's beleaguered, if democratically elected president, Andres Pastrana, is not only besieged by rebel bands that control nearly 50 percent of his country -- he is also the victim of the Clinton-Gore administration's equivocal, vacillating policy toward the nation that, according to the D.E.A., provides 90 percent of the cocaine and over 70 percent of the heroin sold on U.S. streets.
The Colombian president's Washington-inspired attempts to bring peace to his country have been disastrous. After President Pastrana's first visit to the Clinton White House, he hired Clinton golfing pal Vernon Jordan's lobbying firm to represent Colombia in Washington. He was then encouraged to pursue a policy of appeasement in negotiations with rebel leaders, and ended up ceding land the size of Switzerland to the FARC, only to be forced later to do the same for the ELN. The national military is corrupt, and the more trustworthy but meagerly-equipped Colombian National Police (CNP), with only 19 usable helicopters, cannot combat narco-terrorists on the left or protect the population from human rights abuses by growing bands of right-wing paramilitaries. Secretary of State Maddy Albright and General Barry McCaffrey, the administration's "Drug Czar," repeatedly promised to send supplies and helicopters to support the anti-drug efforts of the CNP, but have yet to deliver one helicopter on time -- 12 sat on an American runway for nearly three years.
The Clinton-Gore administration's benign neglect of Colombia may have gone unnoticed by the U.S. media -- but not by the Columbian press. In an article about Clinton's first South American "visit," Panama City's La Prensa wrote, " ... Clinton is the first president since Truman who did not travel to Latin America during his first term at the White House." Finally, swinging through Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina in 1997, Clinton's mantra was "free trade." Unfortunately, most of the "free trade" between Colombia and the United States is cocaine and heroin coming in and dollars going out.
And it is trade with a terrible price for Colombians and Americans alike. During Clinton's tenure, over 40,000 Colombians have died, more than 4,000 CNP officers have been killed and over 300 are being held hostage by guerrillas. According to the CIA, the campaign to overthrow Colombia's government has exploded in the last half decade and Colombia's Defense Minister Luis Ramirez laments that, "Three years ago, soldiers didn't die at the hands of paramilitary groups. That has changed." Colombian drug lords can now produce more than 500 tons of deadly cocaine annually. Drug cultivation has increased by 20 percent since 1999. And the consequences here? The number of first-time cocaine users in the United States has jumped by 56 percent since 1992, and in the same period, more than 1,200 U.S. law officers have been killed in the line of duty. Congressman Dan Burton is right when he says that under Clinton-Gore, Colombia has become an "imminent threat" to the U.S. because it has "slipped from being a stable democracy to teetering on the brink of becoming the first narco-state in the world."
So, why did our Beloved Leader take what the U.S. media described as "the grave personal risk" of going to Colombia? Was it to belatedly demonstrate his "courage" or his "commitment to democracy"? His former U.S. ambassador to Colombia, Myles Frechette, told Reuters, "Clinton is coming to Colombia for domestic political reasons and that's to allow Al Gore to say that the Clinton administration did not neglect or under-fund the drug problem in Colombia."
Ah, Ahab again. The quest for a legacy. Bill Clinton's white whale. Did it work? You don't have to be a member of the vast right wing conspiracy to think not. Former President Jimmy Carter put it best. At the Democratic convention in Los Angeles, he was asked how Bill Clinton will be remembered. Mr. Carter paused and replied, "Bill Clinton, the second president to be impeached ... " At least Ahab found his prey.
* * * YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET

Here we have the Democrats touting their so-called "accomplishments" of thepast eight years, and telling us "... you ain't seen nothing yet."
You know, you sit down and you think about that line for a few nanoseconds,
and you start to get a little worried! Oh, you're not worried? Well, then .. you're just not paying attention. Look at this wonderful closing the Platform of the Democratic party this way and see if your serenity starts to crumble ....During the past seven and one-half years .........
We've seen the president's "wife" try to nationalize 17% of the nation's private economy through her heavy-handed plan for socialized medicine.
We've seen major Democratic campaign contributors sell and transfer vital American nuclear, missile and satellite technology to avowed enemies of freedom and of the United States.
We've seen wholesale violations of basic campaign finance laws.
Then we saw the Democrats and the Clintonistas engage in a concerted effort
to make sure that none of these campaign finance law violations were subject to a serious criminal investigation.We've seen five members of Clinton's Cabinet come under criminal investigation.
We've seen 33 connected to the Clinton administration convicted of crimes.
We've seen the Lincoln bedroom in the White House turned into a high-priced
five-star hotel almost 600 times ... with the basic rate being a huge campaign donation to the Democrats.We've seen seats on government overseas trade missions sold to the highest bidders --- sold for campaign donations.
We've seen a president dropping his trousers in the Oval Office to receive oral sexual favors from an intern barely older than his daughter.
We've seen the president grope and fondle a woman who came to him for help
in securing a White House job --- wrapping up the sordid episode by taking
her hand and forcing it into his crotch.We've seen 45 witnesses in criminal investigations or critics of the Clinton administration subjected to IRS audits.
We've seen five women who were said to have been associated with Bill Clinton complain publicly of physical threats having been made against them.
We've seen Hillary Clinton issue a 42 paragraph sworn statement to a House
investigating committee investigating Clinton wrong doings and in those 42 paragraphs we saw hillary use the phrase "I don't recall" or its equivalent no less than 50 times.We've seen Bill Clinton say "I don't recall" or its equivalent in portionsof his testimony about Paula Jones 271 times.
And when it comes to failed memories, we've seen other Clinton administration friends and officials say the words "I don't recall" or its equivalent a total of 6,125 times before various investigating committees --- for a grand forgetfulness average of 235 times per person. In otherwords ... we've seen the most forgetful group of political operatives in the history of this country.
We've seen a president lie under oath - several times.
We've seen a president use the powers of his office to obstruct justice and to deny a private American citizen her constitutionally guaranteed right to a day in court.
We've seen American servicemen scattered to nearly 100 foreign nations to serve as glorified cops and cafeteria workers in various international "meals on wheels" schemes.
We've seen aspirin factories in foreign countries bombed to divert attention from presidential scandals.
We've seen the bodies of dead American servicemen dragged through the streets of inconsequential foreign dog-patch nations by mobs of people who aren't fit to utter the "would you like french fries with that" anthem of the American high school graduate.
We've seen a president agonize over what the definition of "is" is.
We've seen a president refuse to personally respond to a very credible accusation of a violent rape.
We've seen almost one thousand confidential FBI files of those not friendly to the president's political agenda gathered by former bar bouncers working in White House security positions --- with absolutely no consequences.
We watched in 1996 as the Democrats rushed to naturalize tens of thousands of illegal aliens in time for them to vote Democratic in the election, and, in the process, including thousands of violent felons ... all for a few votes.
We've seen all of this, and we've seen so much more. All of this ... and the Democrats are telling us "you ain't seen nothing yet?"
If they're right ... we need to run , and never look back!
